The Lost Sons of Nada

The film begins on the idyllic and tranquil island of Nada, in the Finnish archipelago. The occupants of the island are an enormous and joyous family led by Sandero, their handsome and charming leader. The family, who call themselves the Children of Nada, are jubilantly rushing around, skipping and singing songs as they prepare for their “ascent to Abadar”, which Sandero tells them is their journey to heaven. Sandero’s oldest son Abe is suspicious of his father’s orders and makes a plan to leave the island that night with his closest brother Gabriel who wants nothing more than to ascend to Abadar, as man of the church Noah forces his way onto the escapade.

That night Abe, Noah and Gabriel escape the island after Sandero gives chase through the woods. When they reach the mainland, they wander cautiously into this unknown and alien world, but as they navigate through the forests and wilderness, they are suspicious that they are being tailed by an evil mythical beast; The BiriBakken. Although they find themselves in this unfamiliar world, they are helped along their journey with unconditional kindness and priceless emotional advice by the many eccentric locals they encounter.
