11 Hours
On the last day before summer vacation, daycare director Sara (40) senses that something is wrong when troubled father Lukas appears outside Eventyrløkka Daycare searching for his young son, Elias. Moments later, he takes eleven children and several employees hostage.
While police negotiator Lars struggles to contain a crisis complicated by uncertain threats, media attention and a close-knit community where everyone knows one another, Sara quietly builds trust with Lukas. As his demands escalate, Sara discovers that empathy may be the only way to prevent further tragedy.
Forced to confront both Lukas’ pain and her own childhood trauma, Sara risks everything to keep the children safe and guide a desperate man away from irreversible violence. But surviving eleven hours inside the daycare proves to be only the beginning of her own reckoning.
The film takes inspiration from true events.
