Participants of the fourth Söderlångvik Masterclass
We are thrilled to welcome six directors and six actors to the fourth Söderlångvik Masterclass, led by award-winning screenwriter and director Tarik Saleh.
The open call for the fourth Söderlångvik Masterclass received over 100 applications from across the Nordics. After a thorough selection process, we selected 12 participants.
Our selected directors are

Saleh will lead the diverse group of Nordic filmmakers for a deep dive into the filmmaking process from script to screen. The three-day masterclass is held in Amos Anderson’s summer residence in the beautiful Kimito Island on 18–21 September.
Saleh’s latest film, Eagles of the Republic, premiered in the Main Competition at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The film will be screened at the Love & Anarchy festival at Bio Rex Lasipalatsi on 21 September at 18, followed by a discussion with Saleh. Tickets are on sale on 4 September at hiff.fi.
Söderlångvik Masterclass is a residency initiative developed by the arts fund Konstsamfundet in collaboration with Helsinki International Film Festival — Love & Anarchy.
