Echo Chamber

After their mother dies in a house fire, estranged sisters Haruka and Yui have only each other. But Haruka cannot bear to look at Yui, whose resemblance to their mother triggers horrific visions of her burning. While autistic Yui struggles with grief and abandonment, Haruka keeps her distance and lives out of her car.

Then a mysterious living doll places a curse on them. Yui begins to transform, and anyone who encounters the sisters turns into a violent monster. Unless they reach their burned childhood home before the blood moon in three days, Yui’s transformation will be permanent.

Forced into Haruka’s battered car and onto the frozen roads of the Nordic winter, the sisters must survive the monsters in their path. And each other. As the curse grows more terrifying, Haruka begins to face the grief she has spent months avoiding. But the Grief Doll has engineered their journey for an ancient audience, and the final act of its story will force Haruka to confront the face she fears most.
