Finnish Film Affair Announces 15th Edition Pre-selection Jury
Finnish Film Affair brings together an international selection committee from Eurimages, LevelK, Visions du Réel, and American Documentary Inc. to assess all projects applying for the Showcase Day of FFA, taking place 23–25 September 2026.
The industry event of Helsinki International Film Festival — Love & Anarchy, Finnish Film Affair is an international marketplace for Finnish and Nordic films, and a networking event for over 500 industry professionals from around the world. The open call for projects is still open for a short while: fiction and documentary projects in development, production and post-production, with a Finnish co-producer, are invited to apply for the event’s Showcase Day. The application closes on Friday, 12 June.
Finnish Film Affair (FFA) is delighted to announce the international members of the pre-selection jury for the 15th edition of FFA. Bringing together expertise in European co-production, international sales, festival programming, documentary curation and public media, they will help shape this year’s Showcase Day selection. The jury members will join HIFF’s Head of Industry Lydia Taylerson in putting together the final lineup, whilst also providing feedback to every eligible project that applied to FFA.
The fiction projects will be reviewed by Katre Kajamäe-Gupta, Project Manager for feature films at Eurimages, and Natascha Degnova, Acquisitions and Head of PR & Marketing at LevelK.
Katre Kajamäe-Gupta brings strong experience from the European audiovisual sector. At Eurimages, the Council of Europe’s co-production support fund, she works with feature film projects. Her background also includes roles at the Estonian Film Institute, Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Estonia and Baltic Event & Industry@Tallinn.
Natascha Degnova works at LevelK, the Copenhagen-based international sales and aggregation company. With a role spanning acquisitions, PR and marketing, she brings insight into how films are positioned, promoted and brought to international audiences.
The documentary projects will be reviewed by Mourad-Anis Moussa, selection committee member and programming co-head at Visions du Réel, and Erika Dilday, Executive Director of American Documentary Inc.
Mourad-Anis Moussa is part of the selection committee and programming team at Visions du Réel. His work across festival programming, publications and documentary curation brings a strong international festival perspective to this year’s documentary selection.
Erika Dilday is the Executive Director of American Documentary Inc. and Executive Producer of the documentary series POV and America ReFramed. Her career spans public media, journalism and independent documentary, with a focus on supporting distinctive voices and socially engaged storytelling.
The pre-selection jury will help shape this year’s Showcase Day line-up, selecting projects with strong international potential and artistic promise. Approximately 35 projects will present at Finnish Film Affair’s Showcase Day in September.
