For our 15th edition, we’re excited to announce a new award in partnership with Marché du Film. This new collaboration adds to the highlight of this year’s Finnish Film Affair: our bold and refreshed Showcase Day, dedicated to presenting some of the most promising projects from Finland, the Nordics and beyond. The day will culminate in an award ceremony celebrating outstanding fiction, documentary and series projects with a distinguished selection of industry awards.

• The Best Fiction Project award, sponsored by the Finnish Film Foundation, grants €3000 for the international marketing of a project in the Fiction in Progress series.
• The Best Documentary Project award, supported by AVEK, also awards €3000 for the international marketing of a film from the Documentaries section. 
• The Best Nordic Project award, sponsored by the Amos Anderson Fund, provides €3000 for the international promotion of a project from the Nordic Selection. 
• The Producers Network Award –  free accreditation to the Producers Network at the Marché du Film in Cannes the following year.
• The MIDPOINT Consulting Award – MIDPOINT Institute provides an in-depth online script consultancy with one of the Institute’s experts, designed specifically for the selected project, which will be chosen from FFA’s Fiction in Development series.
• Göteborg Film Festival Award – In collaboration with Göteborg Film Festival, one fiction feature project will be chosen by the Nordic Film Market team to attend the Göteborg Film Festival with full market accreditations.
• Connecting Cottbus Producers Exchange Award –  Connecting Cottbus handpicks one of the producers to take part in cocoLAB at their East West co-production market and networking platform dedicated to Eastern European cinema.

The 15th Finnish Film Affair will take place in Helsinki from 23–25 September 2026, and is attended yearly by the likes of SXSW, Tribeca, MUBI, LevelK, SF Studios and Variety. Finnish Film Affair is the industry event of Helsinki International Film Festival – Love &
Anarchy, held from 17-27 September.
